In Film Production at VFS, you learn the art and technology behind great cinematography.

Cinematography

Cinematography is where fine art meets technical knowledge. As a cinematographer, you're the eyes on a film shoot, as you work closely with the director in establishing a film's look and work tirelessly to bring it to the screen. The Director of Photography is one of the most respected professionals on any set.

At VFS, you will gain firsthand experience on HD and film cameras. While you're learning the nuances of visual storytelling using light, shadow, colour, and movement, you'll work with professional-grade lenses, filters, lighting packages, and more. Ultimately, you'll learn what it takes to be a great cinematographer and truly understand the professional qualities that allow you to make your mark on a production – and on an audience's experience.
