(Vancouver, BC) June 27, 2019 - Vancouver Film School (VFS) is proud to announce it is now home to indie developer Original Fire Games. Run by VFS graduates and experienced industry developers, Original Fire will have its headquarters based at VFS’s Game Design campus, where they will provide instruction, guidance and mentorship to VFS students. Original Fire Games is currently developing racing game Circuit Superstars, which was announced at this year’s E3 Conference at the Square Enix keynote. The game is being produced in collaboration with major publisher Square Enix via its indie development program, Square Enix Collective.

Original Fire Games is led by siblings Carlos, Carolina and Alberto Mastretta, the later two being VFS Game Design graduates with a long history of success in the gaming industry at great companies like Relic Entertainment, and a deep passion for cars. Circuit Superstars combines arcade-style racing with more realistic tactile driving physics, bringing together a whole range of styles and eras of motorsport, from ’60s-inspired single-seaters to modern GTs.

"It was obvious when I met Original Fire years ago at VFS that they were going to do amazing things in the game industry. I’m incredibly happy VFS has a chance to support their company inside the Game Design campus and staggered by how cool their game is.” - Christopher Mitchell — Head of School of Creative Technologies, Game Design, VFS

"I’m quite excited about (Circuit Superstars) — it’s a charming title from a lovely family-run team, and, basically, just tremendous fun to play.” - Phil Elliott — Director of Indie Publishing, Square Enix
