Vancouver Film School unveils new Indie Arcade website featuring video games designed by students

No quarters required — more than 200 retail-ready games created in VFS’s acclaimed Game Design program are available for free play online

Announcement Highlights:

  • New VFS Indie Arcade website lets you play the latest games produced by the VFS Game Design program.
  • More than 200 releases from the past decade are available; including the latest titles presented at VFS industry showcases Pitch + Play this year.
  • These retail-ready games were made in collaboration with Programming and Sound Design students, using the Unity and Unreal engines.
  • Action-adventure platformers, stealth puzzlers, multiplayer fighters, and first-person shooters: play them all for free in the VFS Indie Arcade.

(VANCOUVER, B.C.) November 7, 2019 — Vancouver Film School is proud to reveal its new Indie Arcade website, where anyone can play the latest games created by students in VFS’s award-winning one-year Game Design program.

First introduced in 2012, VFS’s Indie Arcade now features more than 200 full titles, including all new games that premiered at this year’s Pitch + Play events. Hosted by EP Daily’s Emmy- and Telly-winning host Victor Lucas, Pitch + Play is VFS’s exclusive industry showcase for graduating Game Design students, where they reveal their work to a select group of video game professionals.

Visit community.vfs.com/arcade to check out the new website, try out these unique games, and support their talented creators. New content will be made available every three months.
