In partnership with the Canadian Public Relations Society, Vancouver Film School presents a series of online videography workshops aimed at public relations and communications professionals. Learn to tell a compelling story and gain a better understanding of the video production process, from concept to post-production, with beginner and advanced sessions.

Introduction to Videography for PR & Communications: Pre-Production (online)
Plan a video production for branding and messaging purposes.
Learning Outcomes:
- Learn to create a concept and a compelling narrative for a corporate video production.
- Plan for a shoot and create production documents, including schedules, shot lists, storyboards, locations, and talent acquisitions.
- Understand how to use industry practices in cinematography to communicate a message effectively.
- Have a clear understanding of file formats, resolution, and compression for video platforms used in the industry (web, social media, and television).
Requirements:
- Computer, microphone, and camera (optional)
- Any video capturing device (cell phone or other)
- Stable Internet connection
January 19 & 21, 2021 – **ONLINE workshop**
Advanced Videography for PR & Communications: Post-Production (online)
Gain skills to finalize a video project for public broadcast.
Learning Outcomes:
- Use Adobe Premiere and After Effects to capture, edit, and compose a compelling narrative.
- Add infographics, and create and animate text layers, lower thirds, titles, and brand logos.
- Export videos for various mediums such as social media, web, and broadcast platforms.
